Tom Johnstone

Tom Johnstone writes horror and mows lawns, but no blades of grass were harmed in the creation of his story for Extremely Weird Splatter. He is the author of a trilogy of hard-boiled occult detective novellas (collected in one volume as In the Friendly Dark) and two collections (Last Stop Wellsbourne and Let Your Hinged Jaw Do the Talking). His short fiction has appeared in various publications, including Black Static, Nightscript, A Ghosts and Scholars Book of Folk Horror, Terror Tales of the Home Counties, Horrific Scribes, Supernatural Tales, Creepypod, Body Shots, Medusa, Gavagai, Nightmare Abbey, and Best Horror of the Year, Vol. 17. His first collaboration with Colleen Anderson appeared in Shadowplays (PS Publishing) and another will appear in the forthcoming Christmas Horror Short Stories (Flame Tree Press).
